Swindon Town are running the rule over Gareth Barry’s nephew Bradley during pre-season training, FLIC SPORT understands.
The young full-back is currently a free agent and was present as The Robins were put through their paces this morning, ahead of tomorrow’s friendly clash against Swindon Supermarine (7.30pm kick-off).
Barry – who has yet to make his professional debut – was handed a deal by Brighton and Hove Albion in May 2013, where he worked under Town’s current First-Team Coach Luke Williams, who at the time was Academy Director at the Championship outfit.
Barry’s uncle, Gareth was spotted at The County Ground during the play-off semi-final second-leg success over Sheffield United, with the Everton midfielder’s agent, Michael Standing, an advisor to Town Chairman Lee Power.
Bradley Barry could well feature for Swindon in Tuesday’s pre-season opener against Supermarine.
Meanwhile, it has been reported elsewhere that former Tottenham midfielder Jake Nicholson and Drissa Traore – who was at Notts County last season – are also both on trial at SN1.
